In 1992, Robert Schoen Jr. received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University. Shortly thereafter, he took a full-time position at Schoen & Co., his father’s accounting firm, where he had worked part-time since 1986. At the firm, he specialized in financial planning, individual tax preparation, and business systems consulting. Today, he focuses exclusively on wealth management and investment planning for clients of Schoen Financial Advisors. According to Bob Jr., “Financial planning is about much more than just numbers. It’s about setting goals, developing an achievable strategy, and making wise decisions to reach those goals.”
Bob’s top priority is to do what’s right for each client. As he says, “I draw tremendous satisfaction from helping clients rest easier at night, knowing they have made the financial decisions that are right for them. I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients: whether it be setting young investors on the right financial path, helping business owners maximize their tax breaks with the proper retirement plan, or helping individuals find strategies to confront their biggest fear — outliving their money.”
Bob lives in Roselle with his wife, Terri, and two sons, Austin and Jackson. He enjoys exercising and watching his sons wrestle, but most of all, he loves just spending quality time with his family.
